University of Arkansas - Fort Smith
For some students, degree requirements may last longer than scholarship eligibility. Others may need too few hours to qualify for a loan. Sometimes a fee as small as $500 can be an insurmountable hurdle between today and graduation. Finish scholarships and a package of other aid can eliminate the hurdle.
Between 2019 and 2022, the university awarded an average of $647 to 104 students. Of them, 96 either graduated or remained in school. The finish grant may not eliminate the hurdle alone; sometimes students apply for further scholarships and make their own financial commitments.
My journey has been more of a mountain climb than a marathon. But I know I’m where I’m supposed to be. – Trittany Young, senior and grant recipient
