University of Arkansas - Fort Smith
The UAFS Army ROTC department would like to take the top 10 overall Cadets to the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) meeting and exposition, hosted in Washington D.C., on October 14-16, 2024.
Serving the nation is not a decision to be taken lightly, but the cadets of Lion Company, the UAFS ROTC program, rose to the occasion while earning their degrees. Cadets can join during their first or second year at UAFS with the opportunity to graduate as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army, Army Reserves, or National Guard. Lion Company may be small, but it is mighty in its mission and growth trajectory.
By supporting UAFS ROTC, funds will go toward improving the program’s overall footprint at UAFS. Funding will help improve their classroom and training space in line with their growth. The support of Lion Company will send the top ROTC cadets to the Association of the United States Army, which will be a multi-day conference and networking event in Washington, DC, with some of the nation’s top brass speaking directly to the leaders of tomorrow.
“Joining ROTC was one of the best decisions I have made since I began pursuing my bachelor’s.” – Victor Steffen, junior biomedical student, ROTC cadet
