In February 2020, immediately following a heart procedure, my mom, Diane, known to her grandchildren as D, passed away suddenly. In addition to being a Mah Jongg maven, she was a petite, healthy woman, who ate salad, drank water, and practiced pilates almost daily. No one would have guessed she would suffer from heart disease.
