The Charity Walk, founded in 1974 and expanded statewide in 1978, is now Hawai‘i’s largest single-day fundraising event by a non-profit organization. Since its inception, more than $45 million has been raised to support hundreds of local charities throughout the state. Spearheaded by the Hawa‘ii Lodging & Tourism Association and its non-profit arm the Hawai‘i Hotel Industry Foundation, the Charity Walk is traditionally held every May on Hawai‘i, Kaua‘i, Lana‘i, Maui, Moloka‘i, and O‘ahu. Money raised on an island or each county stays there.
As you are aware, the Kauai Charity Walk has been a staple fundraiser on the island for over 45 years and is the lifeline for many non-profit organizations on the island.
Last year's Kaua’i Charity Walk raised over $570,000 for 55 local charities and non-profit organizations.
We are excited to announce we're hosting the 45th Annual Charity Walk at Vidinha Stadium soccer field on Saturday 5/4/2024 at 7am (registration starts at 6:00am).
