SAMS Dental & Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Mission to Lebanon in May 2023
Lebanon is home to more than 1 million Syrian refugees, 90% of whom live in extreme poverty and struggle to access basic healthcare. More than 51% of Syrian refugees in Lebanon are below the age of 18 and 21% continue to live in informal settlements.
Due to the often-traumatic experiences of fleeing their homeland and often dangerous and stressful conditions of their journey, refugees are at higher risk of developing facial deformities (Cleft Lip, palate, facial tumors), and dental problems, including infections, decay, and gum diseases.
To address this critical need, SAMS is organizing a medical/dental/surgery mission to Lebanon in May 2023, in partnership with Global Smiles for Miles. The mission will provide much-needed medical care and support to Syrian refugees living in Lebanon.
We are seeking your support to help raise funds for this noble cause. Your contribution will go a long way in providing essential medical care to Syrian refugees who have been forced to leave their homes and are living in dire conditions.
The mission will include a team of experienced 35 dental/medical/surgical volunteers from 7 countries and 9 subspecialists. The team will also work closely with local healthcare providers to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
Your support can make a huge difference in the lives of Syrian refugees who are struggling to access basic healthcare. Please make a tax-deductible donation today and help us make a difference in the lives of Syrian refugees. Whether you donate $50 or $500, your donation will do a world of good!
