In Memory of Carmen Lilly, Class of 2004.
Carmen E. Lilly received her B.S. in Criminal Justice in May, 1998 from UMES. When she visited UMES on a college tour, it was love at first sight. She thoroughly enjoyed her college experience at UMES. Despite some serious health challenges, she was determined to continue her education. She returned to UMES and earned her M. Ed. degree in Counselor Education in May, 2004.
Carmen was a high school counselor, she loved her chosen profession and was deeply committed to helping her students to reach their educational goals. She was a mentor of many who took great pleasure in listening to her students and inspiring them to reach for higher ground.
