In September of 2018, a drunk driver crashed into Boy Scout Troop 161 who was hiking the Greenbelt Trail.  Several scouts were seriously injured, as a result of his injuries, Andrew McMorris passed away. The lives of his family, friends, community and fellow scouters were forever changed by his loss.

In conjunction with the McMorris Family, the Suffolk County Council of Boy Scouts will hold the Andrew McMorris Memorial Walkathon on Friday, November 27th, 2020 Thanksgiving Friday.

A beautiful lodge is being built at the Baiting Hollow Scout Camp to honor Andrew's memory.  The construction of McMorris Lodge is moving along but we need funds to finish the lodge, complete the loft area and to supply the necessary furnishings.  Funds raised will go first to the McMorris Lodge, the Andrew McMorris Foundation (https://www.andrewmcmorrisfoundation.org) and the Suffolk County Council of Boy Scouts.
