Dancing for Aspiro
You know what they say, ‘Things happen for a reason’.
In early 2023 I was having coffee with Nicole Hoffmann, VP of Development with Aspiro after recently leaving my GM role at Green Bay Tennis Center where I am an owner, and I was looking for a new job. She was looking for a Special Events and Volunteer Specialist and after hearing more about the position and what Aspiro was all about, she thankfully offered me the chance to help make a difference.
Aspiro is a disability service provider serving the Greater Green Bay area since 1957. Aspiro is committed to creating opportunities for people experiencing disabilities to live THEIR best lives, by reaching THEIR goals, connecting to THEIR community, and achieving THEIR independence to Live Their Way. It’s more than just a building with a large gym, an art room, a music room, and classrooms.
It is an organization that was built by families, and we have the honor to continue their work 67 years later today, serving more than 1,200 individuals and families. Whether it is helping them build the skills to find a job, provide an array of day services that match their interests, provide a caregiver for a family that needs a break, or be the first support system for a family who has a child born with a disability. Aspiro creates opportunities to support and encourage our clients.
Aspiro’s core values are the values I believe in and choose to live by…have respect and dignity for all, support choices that my loved ones make to have happy, fulfilling lives, build relationships with others where there is honesty, support, and integrity, and go the extra mile to provide the very best in all I do-no matter how small.
Dancing for Aspiro will be my way to spread the word and educate who and what Aspiro is and provides. I am fortunate that things ‘happen for a reason’.
