    ABOUT THE EVENT:

    Dates: September 23rd - September 25th
    Registration closes on August 26th

    Join us for the 2022 Gears for Good! Throughout the ride, HFA provides hotel accommodations, meals, rest stops along the bike route to keep you going, bike maintenance and medical assistance if you need it.

    100% of the rider contributions raised go to our Helping Hands program, which provides critically needed funds for the most vulnerable in the bleeding disorders community.

    Details:

    Day 1
    We will Depart Rosslyn/Arlington by bus at 8:00AM, with the bus dropping riders off in Hancock, MD. From there, we will ride west on the Western Maryland Rail Trail. We will return to Hancock where we will continue the ride and end the night in Williamsport, MD at the Red Roof Inn, exploring the town on the way.
    Day 2
    We will ride from Williamsport to Big Slackwater Boat ramp for lunch, then head to Shepherdstown and end in Harpers Ferry. There will be time to rest, tour Harpers Ferry, or an optional afternoon hike for those who want. 
    Day 3
    We will ride back to DC and arrive between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM. We will have a celebration afterwards. It will be a perfect opportunity to socialize with other riders and celebrate your accomplishments.

     

    Fundraising Requirements:

    This ride does have a minimum fundraising requirement of $1000 PER RIDER with additional rewards based on what tier you reach. If you raise $2500, you will receive all of the rewards. 

    Tier 1 - $1,000.00 - HFA Jersey

    Tier 2 - $1,500.00 - HFA Sweatshirt

    Tier 3 - $2,000.00 - HFA Jacket + All Prizes

    HFA will provide you with all of the tools you need to, hopefully, exceed this goal!
