Billi is the sweetest K9. Billi has ears that are made of velvet. He will run to the closest person after receiving his reward for all the love and attention. If he was a female, he should have been named Eileen because as soon as you touch him he will push his whole body on your legs and force you to give him attention. Billi started his career at EWR in 2017 and transferred to PHX in 2021. Billi does not like the cold weather or snow and thoroughly enjoys soaking up the sunshine in the valley of the sun. Billi’s favorite treat are ice cubes. When he is not working he is laying poolside soaking up all the vitamin d but not trying to get wet.
Working K9s perform a variety of occupations alongside their Handlers ensuring our public is safe from threats or danger, along with protecting our country domestically and abroad. They are typically classified as equipment with their medical needs NO longer funded once their service is completed. Often times they have accelerated health issues like hip dysplasia or PTSD as a result of their years in the field.
Paws of Honor is a nonprofit providing continued quality routine and specialized veterinary care to ALL retired Military and Law Enforcement K9s no matter the department, agency, or branch of service at no cost to the Handler who becomes financially responsible for them upon retirement. Through Paws of Honor’s Veterinary Affiliates continued medical care is provided to each retired K9 enrolled in our Veterinary Care Program.
