Cast your vote in our "Pigs on Parade" Pig Pageant

Hi, I’m Pork n’ Beans. I was designed by the Starbucks Visual Group for the 2001 Pigs on Parade celebration. For the last 20 years I have enjoyed standing above the door inside the first Starbucks in Pike Place Market, studded with real coffee beans and surrounded by a burlap bag. I’m a multi-sensory pig – not only do I look like a beautiful sack full of coffee pouring out its beans, but I smell faintly of roasted coffee as well. I get to meet Market visitors and shoppers from all over the world, my favorite way to recharge!
I represent the two priorities of what brings people together at the first Starbucks: A deep, warm, aromatic love of the Pike Place Market Community and of course coffee!
I think the real feather in the Market Foundation’s “cap”-puccino is helping seniors move into affordable housing. Did you know that the Market’s Heritage House, the assisted living residence, was the first of its kind in Washington State?
Vote for me for most caffeinated pig in the pageant!
