The BCE Read-a-thon is a friends and family fundraiser. We empower our students to make a difference by raising much needed funds for their Burlingame public schools while fostering a life-long love of reading. Students read and log their minutes while their parents, friends, and family show their support with a sponsoring donation of any flat amount.
BCE raises funds each year to pay for 20 teachers and programs that benefit all 3,300+ TK-8th grade students in the district. These funds create a rich and inspiring educational experience beyond what is possible with state funding. We could not do it without the support of this community - and that's where you come in! Please support a student reader today! All gifts are tax deductible.
Gifts of ANY amount are needed and appreciated but students receive additional prize drawing entries for every $200 in cumulative donations they receive.

BCE helps Burlingame School District (BSD) sustain and enhance an exceptional public education for all TK-8th grade students. Working together with parents, the school district, and community, we provide BSD with financial resources to create a rich and inspiring education for our children beyond what is possible with public funds.
