Northwestern State University Athletics
The NSU Athletic Department slogan is, "Great Tradition-- Brighter Future." Facility enhancements help us maintain our great traditions while insuring a brighter future for our student-athletes, coaches, administrators, alumni and stakeholders. Our coaches and staff must continually raise the bar to maintain the level of success that we expect at NSU and sustain our growth for years to come, and top-of-the-line facilities play an important part in that process. While many factors influence a young person's decision to accept a college athletic scholarship offer, updated and even new facilities are at the top of the list.
The Demons Unlimited Foundation, the 501c3 fundraising arm of NSU Athletics, has drawn up several much needed plans for various facility enhancement projects within the Athletic Department, but we need your help to make these projects a reality. All funds for these projects must be secured from outside sources, be it individuals, companies/business, or foundations. There is no better time for NSU alumni, former athletes, fans, parents and others to step forward and make this facility campaign a game changing success! We are Victorious for Life.
An 11,600 sq. ft. Sport Performance Center remains the top NSU Facility Enhancement Project Priority.
This new structure includes:
-A specially designed external appearance that includes three white columns to resemble a part of the NSU brand
-Space to accommodate 100 student-athletes at the same time
-A 25-foot artificial turf pad that can be used for indoor agility exercises and training
-A mezzanine level that includes three offices and a lounge area with nutrition center
