Welcome to Akron Community Foundation’s inaugural Community Wish Book – a collection of needs from 50 of the most vital nonprofits in Summit and Medina counties.

On this page is a carefully curated selection of small wishes that will make a big impact. Each organization is requesting no more than $5,000, and your gift – of any size – will be combined with gifts from others in the community to help fulfill desires that have been on these nonprofits’ wish lists for years but have often stayed out of reach due to other urgent needs.

From purchasing a portable background check machine that will ensure the safety of our community’s youngest residents to helping to buy a cargo van for meal delivery services, your donations now will improve our community for years to come.

It doesn’t matter whether you have $50 or $5,000 to give – every dollar helps! Your donation is a tangible “thank you” to our community’s nonprofits for the incredible work they do for all of us, every day.

Donor-Advised Fundholders: If you would like to contribute through a grant from your donor-advised fund at Akron Community Foundation, please submit a grant recommendation through your DonorCentral account.

Please Note: Your contribution will be attributed to the Designated Fund of Akron Community Foundation (ACF) and directed to your selected nonprofit organization(s). Your tax acknowledgement will come from ACF and you will be listed in ACF publications unless you request to remain anonymous. You will not receive a tax acknowledgement letter from the nonprofit you support and will not be listed in their publications.
