Houston Botanic Garden opened in September 2020 as a major addition to the city’s cultural, educational, and scientific institutions and growing list of urban green spaces. Located a short distance from downtown in southeast Houston, our 132-acre site on Sims Bayou is filled with horticultural displays, natural ecosystems, and walking trails.
