The 6th Annual Florida Showcase, a jury-selected exhibition for multidisciplinary Florida artists, features a variety of artistic mediums such as photography, sculpture, painting and digital art. Established in 2016, the Florida Showcase serves as a platform for emerging and known artists alike to be showcased together, and to provide a dynamic space for creators to connect with the wider local art community.
The 53 selected artists this year are: Melina Alegria, John Baker, Scott Beavin, Stacie Becker, Alan Benitez, Ryan Blackburn, Marcus Blodgett, Brad Booth, Patrick Connolly, Leo Cordovi, Blue Dunsworth, Jose Ney Mila Espinosa, Jennine Faubel, Zoe Filutowski, Jerry Garcia, Nelson Garcia, Channing Gray, Gordon H. Hanson, Brayden Hooper, Jennifer Jones, Nick Kalemba, Erin Kamalzadeh, Sean Kane, Sebastian Keller, Erica Lanier, Jason Littlefield, Fenqiang Liu, Xamara Maisonet, Anthony Mancuso, Robbii Marryshow, Emily Martinez, Neala McCarten, Brittany Metz, Mauricio Murillo, Joel Negron, Lisette Otero-Lewis, Jambvant Ramoutar, Richard Reep, Philip Ringler, Juliana Romnes, Rebecca Rose, Arcell Salunga, Lori Sanchez, Lady Sanchez, Ed Sanderson, Annie Scull, Jared Silvia, Kadeem Stewart, Andy Stur, Jorge Suria, Gustavo Vargas, Jim Wysolmierski, and Diana Zhang.
“This show was such a great igniter for me to return to my practice,” said Elise Stürup, an artist whose work was exhibited at the 2018 showcase. “After getting to share such rich conversations with artists and be surrounded by such crazy creative brain flow, it kick-started something in me I lost touch with for a while.”
