The Marywood Chapter of AIAS is focused on professional development and networking. Over the years we have been able to help students understand the process of licensure, higher education, and professional options as well as help them obtain internships. It is through your support that we will be able to host more lectures and workshops, purchase materials and organize various activities. These resources would allow us to enhance the education of our members and fellow students in the School of Architecture. Every year within the AIAS, each of the four regions host Quad conferences where students will travel to a single city to learn about and experience not only the location's architecture but important architectural issues and topics that students and professionals face. This year, Marywood University has been selected to be the host of the Northeast Quad Conference and will SP[ARCH] students' curiosity from Thursday March 30th to Sunday April 2nd. Brienna-Rae Cruz was a doctoral candidate in the Doctor of Clinical Psychology Program at Marywood. Brie was an advocate, a mentor, and an exceptional clinician within the program. She spent countless hours mentoring those in the cohorts behind her and her peers, advocating on behalf of her clients, working as a graduate assistant, and teaching Psychology 101; all while maintaining academic excellence and defending her qualifying examination with distinction. The Brienna-Rae Cruz, M.A. '19 Memorial Annual Scholarship has been created in her memory to assist doctoral students in the Clinical Psychology Program. Students are nominated for the scholarship based on academic and clinical excellence and a demonstrable interest in advocating for marginalized communities and mentoring peers. The Pathway Supplemental Fund supports Marywood students in need of crucial materials to complete a course(s). This fund provides financial assistance to help offset the cost of materials, supplies, and expenses necessary to complete curricular projects and/or participate in activities that require additional costs for majors such as the Arts, Music, Health, etc. These majors often incur fees over and above other traditional disciplines. The Esports program provides opportunities for students who are interested in playing a competitive sport and for employers who are seeking people with Esports skills. Students in the program obtain practical skills that can be transferred across multiple disciplines, they develop fluency in science, technology, and computer skills that strengthen their reasoning and problem-solving capabilities and allow them to gain competencies that are in great demand in the job market. The Senior Class Gift is a long-lasting tradition when members of the graduating class give to move future Pacers forward by presenting a Senior Class Gift.
