The Good Shepherd Scholarship Fund enables families of all income levels to receive a Catholic education in the Diocese of Lincoln. The impact of Catholic education can be seen through the success of our students in graduation rates, college attendance, vocations to the priesthood and religious life, and in the way our students and their families serve their communities, parishes and schools. The first scholarships were awarded from the fund in 2018, and since that time, these scholarship recipients have a 100% graduation rate. St. John the Apostle School is a Christ-centered learning community that prepares each student to be a successful life-long learner. We provide opportunities that promote the development of every student’s unique gifts and talents, empowering each child to become a responsible, respectful, and caring citizen who lives the faith. The school assists the parents in their role as the main educators of their children, offering a complete education, both secular and religious. This year’s St. John’s Give to Catholic Schools Day is dedicated to improve our students’ playground by repainting the equipment where the pain has worn off, replace the basketball rims, as well as repair and paint the soccer goals. Any funds raised will be used for this and future projects. Thank you for your generous gifts! St. Joseph School is a vibrant and thriving school and community with a total staff of 68, K-8 student enrollment of 420, and Preschool enrollment of 64. We, the family of St. Joseph School, build up the Kingdom of God as we work together in faith, knowledge, and loving service. This year, we are participating in the new Lincoln Catholic Schools Day of Giving event to benefit our Catholic schools. Funds raised through this event will go toward two specific projects to keep our school up to date. One is to complete the replacement of classroom smart boards with interactive display boards, which already has $25,000 earmarked from other fundraising efforts. The other is enhancing the internal schoolwide communication system. Our fundraising goal for the Lincoln Catholic Schools Day of Giving 2023 is $15,000.

St. Peter Catholic School is raising funds to update communication at the school and between school personnel. The first phase is to upgrade the current walkie-talkies to a Two-Way Radio system. The Two-Way Radios will have their own FCC channel to offer better range in emergency situations that require the students and staff to evacuate the building, such as fire. The Two-way radios will allow staff to communicate quickly and efficiently without interference from local businesses. The second phase is to update the intercom and phone system. The intercom system would utilize the phone for communication from the school office, principal, or between classrooms. The current intercom system can only reach the school office from a classroom. The school office uses the intercom system for morning and end of school day messages and prayers and for many other reasons. The phone system requires an update because St. Peter does not have a phone in every classroom. Phase One: Two-Way Radio $9,800.00 Phase Two: Intercom $27,285 Phone System $14,500 The safety of our students is a top priority and we ask for your support in updating the current communication system for St. Peter Catholic School.
We are in need of a new playground mat for our school. As we get closer to installing our new playground equipment, it is crucial that we replace the rubber mat which needs to be supported by a firm and flat foundation. These playground mats cost between $60,000 and $90,000. Any amount that you can give is a great help to us!
Villa Marie is raising money to fund education of our special students. When your child is born, your heart is full of joy. You hold future dreams in your heart for your child. A diagnosis such as Autism, Down Syndrome or the discovery of other learning challenges can make all those envisioned joys go dark. The normal milestones of life are no longer certain. Sometimes the child’s school life is really difficult. The child is bullied and misunderstood. Every member of the family suffers. Villa Marie Home & School for Exceptional Children is a light, bringing hope, understanding and love to families with a child who has special education needs. The child is met where they are at by patient, kind, calm teachers who understand and accept the child for who they are. Students work one on one, or in small groups and focus on their own areas of needed growth. Methods that work for one child, may or may not work for another. Students develop not only academically but spiritually, emotionally, physically, and socially. Students are able to enhance their God-given talents, learn job skills and are encouraged to embrace healthy lifestyle choices. Students ages 6-18 find acceptance, build lifelong friendships, learn to trust in God, and be confident in their abilities. The safe, family-like environment allows the child to blossom into the individual God created them to be. Weekly boarding and day school opportunities are available. Tuition assistance is provided to all of our families, as no child is ever turned away due to a lack of financial resources. Our average cost to educate as of April 2023 is $41,000 for 9 months and is ever changing depending on the combination of boarders and day students, and the rising costs of utilities and food. As a boarding school we have many expenses that other schools do not. Villa Marie does not have a designated parish for financial support like other schools in the Lincoln Catholic Dioceses, and is completely reliant on the goodwill of those who love God to provide the resources needed to do God’s work. We can’t better the lives of God’s most precious children without your help! Our goal for Lincoln Catholic Schools Day of Giving is $65,000. This funding will go directly to fund all things necessary to educate our students.
