My wife Patty and I have walked for 3 years at Saint Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church Walk for Life. This is very personal to both of us since we have opened our home to 3 single moms whose newborn babies were brought to our home from the hospital. Moms that did not have any alternatives.But even though their situations were difficult they chose to give life to their children. We are very grateful that God blessed us with the opportunity to help these little people come into a world where people dearly care about them.All the money raised in this fund-raising event will support mobile prolife clinics that provide medical care and counseling to expectant moms.We strongly support these prolife clinics because they give the Prolife choice to moms to be. And this race is not to see who is the fastest, but who is the cutest, most precious, adorable kid in the whole world. Be there for the Walk for Life at St Max on September 30th for the Toddler Trot. Gather at 9:55, race starts at 10am. Bring your cameras. It’s going to be epic! Who: Any toddler 2 years and under.What: A race, but not really. It’s only 10 yards long and nobody cares who wins.Where: St Max – in the event parking lot.When: 9:55am line-up; 10:00am start.Why: To celebrate babies. I am helping raise funds that support the free services provided by Houston Coalition for Life's Blue Blossom Pregnancy Centers including Big Blue, Baby Blue, Little One, their newest addition — Little Two, and their main office.All of HCL's pregnancy centers provide women in crisis pregnancies with FREE life-affirming services like pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, confidential counseling, classes, baby items, and referrals to resources that she may need.On June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. This decision set into place a trigger law, that went into effect August 25, 2022, making abortion illegal in Texas. While there is now legal protection for the preborn in our state and many others, unfortunately, women are continuing to find themselves in crisis pregnancies and many are still seeking abortion.Because of the loving encouragement expecting moms receive, 93% of the women served by HCL choose LIFE for their preborn babies!

My name is Florentina Nunez, I'm the Programs Director of the Houston Coalition for Life. I'm a mother of six children and a grandmother of seven children. I love to participate in The Houston Coalition for Life, Run & Walk for Life to continue with our mission to end abortion and to promote the sacredness of life in our community. This event takes place every year, I know more people feel the need to do something to change the mind of our culture towards life, and I think this is a great way to reach out to people and be witness of the beautiful gift of life while we Run or Walk. All our services are free of charge so we always in need for funds for the Blue Blossom Pregnancy Centers and the office center, the four mobile units and our office center are saving innocent lives in the Houston area. Women are still finding themselves in crisis pregnancies and some are still seeking abortion in our state even know its illegal after Roe was overturned. The need for our mobile Blue Blossom Pregnancy Centers to remain open and offer Life-affirming alternatives is crucial for a mother facing a crisis pregnancy.
