Generation Vitae

Generation Vitae is a group young leaders in their 20s, 30s, and 40s that support the mission and vision of Houston Coalition for Life and help build a culture of life throughout our city. Generation Vitae hosts events that provide educational, networking, and philanthropic opportunities for young professionals both single and married to help women in crisis pregnancies choose life for their preborn babies. This year we are helping launch and raise funds for the 1st ever Learn for Life Essay Scholarship Contest for both middle school and high school students. We hope to inspire young people to think critically and articulate their pro-life values. There will be a 1st prize and 2nd prize winner for both middle school (6-8th grade) and high school (9th - 12th grade). Generation Vitae will judge the contest in early 2024 and present the winners their scholarship at the 2024 Annual Benefit Dinner. We hope you will join our team to help raise funds for this scholarship as we work towards our shared vision of building a community that loves, respects, and protects life from the moment of conception to natural death. Hello! I am participating in Houston Coalition for Life's Annual Run/Walk for Life on Saturday, September 30th! I am helping raise funds that support the free services provided by Houston Coalition for Life's Blue Blossom Pregnancy Centers including Big Blue, Baby Blue, Little One, their newest addition — Little Two, and their main office. All of HCL's pregnancy centers provide women in crisis pregnancies with FREE life-affirming services like pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, confidential counseling, classes, baby items, and referrals to resources that she may need. On June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. This decision set into place a trigger law, that went into effect August 25, 2022, making abortion illegal in Texas. While there is now legal protection for the preborn in our state and many others, unfortunately, women are continuing to find themselves in crisis pregnancies and many are still seeking abortion. Because of the loving encouragement expecting moms receive, 93% of the women served by HCL choose LIFE for their preborn babies!
