THE SR. THEA BOWMAN CENTER was established in 2022 to celebrate the life and legacy of Sr. Thea, the first Black member of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration and a 1965 Viterbo graduate who then taught at Viterbo before going on to national prominence as an educator, speaker, evangelist, and advocate for social justice. The Sr. Thea Bowman Center aims to continue her mission of “living in love” by providing resources for education and understanding of human dignity and social justice.
This year, an anonymous donor has offered to match gifts of any size (up to $20,000) made to the Sr. Thea Bowman Center. This generous donor will give $5 for every $1 donated, so when you give $50 today, an additional $250 will go to the Sr. Thea Bowman Center.
