Aloha! Walk with us virtually, from August 30 - September 12 and support Molokaʻi's local non-profits! 

This year, we’ll be featuring a special digital platform, which can be downloaded through your mobile device, to track our steps and keep us connected throughout the two week “Walk Window.”  Whether you are a competitive athlete, a workout enthusiast, or a leisure walker, we will have fun “virtual” activities that will fit all needs.    

Once you Register to Walk through MobileCause, you will automatically receive an invitation email to access the platform. We can’t wait to see you online!  

The Charity Walk, founded in 1974 and expanded statewide in 1978, is now Hawai‘i’s largest single-day fundraising event by a non-profit organization. Since its inception, more than $32 million has been raised to support hundreds of local charities throughout the state. Spearheaded by the Hawaii Lodging & Tourism Association and its non-profit arm Hawaii Hotel Industry Foundation, the Charity Walk is traditionally held every May on Hawai‘i, Kaua‘i, Lana‘i, Maui, Moloka‘i, and O‘ahu. Money raised on each island or county stays there.
 
Maui County successfully raised $1.3 million benefiting 100 Maui County non-profit organizations in 2019.  Since MHLA started hosting the Charity Walk in 1980, we have raised a cumulative total of $14.2 million in Maui.  We continue to achieve and surpass our goals year after year with the continued support of our amazing community!  We invite you back, after a year in limbo, to participate in a 2 week walk-at-your-pace mobile experience filled with fitness, fun, entertainment, and giveaways while raising funds and awareness for our island charities. 

 

About The Charity Walk
