First-Generation students embody the mission and vision that Ferris State University was founded upon. First-Generation students may be the first in their family to attend college, and may not have the same knowledge and support as other students.
Over the past four years, the First-Generation Initiative at Ferris has supported and celebrated First-Gen students with workshops, outreach, support, an ally program, graduation cords, a student organization, mini-grants, and technology support, and so much more.
