Has traveled with the United States government for seven years. He loves staying at home with our two other dogs, Phoebe and Gracie. He enjoys watching the new canine (WASABI) go to work every day while he sleeps in his bed. His favorite food and favorite word is TURKEY. His favorite downtime activities is waiting by fridge so somebody can give him an ice cube.
Working K9s perform a variety of occupations alongside their Handlers ensuring our public is safe from threats or danger, along with protecting our country domestically and abroad. They are typically classified as equipment with their medical needs NO longer funded once their service is completed. Often times they have accelerated health issues like hip dysplasia or PTSD as a result of their years in the field.
Paws of Honor is a nonprofit providing continued quality routine and specialized veterinary care to ALL retired Military and Law Enforcement K9s no matter the department, agency, or branch of service at no cost to the Handler who becomes financially responsible for them upon retirement. Through Paws of Honor’s Veterinary Affiliates continued medical care is provided to each retired K9 enrolled in our Veterinary Care Program.
