Retired K9 Little Frenky split his career between the Port of JFK (2014 - 2017) and the Port of New York / Newark (2017 -2022). He was also present in 2017 for a few months in Texas at the Port of Eagle Pass, Del Rio and Laredo. Little Frenky has a total of 96 career narcotic seizures which got him a letter of commendation for the Port Director of JFK. He was also Top Dog during annual certifications on three occasions. Little Frenky will do anything to chew on gloves and have his back scratched. He also loves his Vanfine cube squeaker and Milk-bone treats!
Paws of Honor has joined forces with Hurricane’s Heroes to help retired Military and Law Enforcement working K9s across the country receive the veterinary care they deserve!
Working K9s perform a variety of occupations alongside their Handlers ensuring our public is safe from threats or danger, along with protecting our country domestically and abroad. They are typically classified as equipment with their medical needs NO longer funded once their service is completed. Often times they have accelerated health issues like hip dysplasia or PTSD as a result of their years in the field.
Paws of Honor is a nonprofit providing continued quality routine and specialized veterinary care to ALL retired Military and Law Enforcement K9s no matter the department, agency, or branch of service at no cost to the Handler who becomes financially responsible for them upon retirement. Through Paws of Honor’s Veterinary Affiliates continued medical care is provided to each retired K9 enrolled in our Veterinary Care Program.
