EDC Tramp has worked in the Washington, D.C. area for the last 5 years. During this time she’s been charged with protecting many Federal Buildings to include, The Department of Justice, The Department of Intelligence Agency, The Internal Revenue Service, The Department of Commerce and The Kennedy Center. Of all those places, Tramp enjoyed the views from the roof of The Kennedy Center. Tramp has traveled to Philadelphia, New York and Beverly Hills providing security for the United States Holocaust Museum during their annual dinners. Not only providing security, but Tramp also provides a nice distraction and moral boost to the employees she encounters. When Tramp wasn’t hunting for explosives, she really enjoyed terrorizing the many squirrels around D.C. But when she’s not on clock, Tramp likes to lay in her bed with a nice bone and just relax!

Working K9s perform a variety of occupations alongside their Handlers ensuring our public is safe from threats or danger, along with protecting our country domestically and abroad. They are typically classified as equipment with their medical needs NO longer funded once their service is completed. Often times they have accelerated health issues like hip dysplasia or PTSD as a result of their years in the field.

Paws of Honor is a nonprofit providing continued quality routine and specialized veterinary care to ALL retired Military and Law Enforcement K9s no matter the department, agency, or branch of service at no cost to the Handler who becomes financially responsible for them upon retirement. Through Paws of Honor’s Veterinary Affiliates continued medical care is provided to each retired K9 enrolled in our Veterinary Care Program.
