WHO IS PART OF TEAM CONCERN?

This year, Concern Foundation is teaming up with the following organizations to raise funds for cancer research and important programs for cancer patients and their families.

American Friends of the Hebrew University (AFHU) is a national, not-for-profit organization based in the United States. AFHU is headquartered in New York and has seven regional offices working in close partnership with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. AFHU provides supporters, Hebrew University alumni, and the public with stimulating programs and events and organizes missions to Israel. The organization’s fundraising activities support scholarly and scientific achievement at the Hebrew University, create scholarships, construct new facilities, and assist the university’s efforts to attract and retain outstanding faculty. The monies raised from this event will be earmarked to support the work that is being done at The Concern Foundation Laboratories at the Lautenberg Center for immunology and cancer research at Hebrew University. For more information, please visit http://www.afhu.org.

AYA@USC, the Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Program at USC, helps young adults with cancer navigate through their cancer journey and seek peer support and psycho-social services in Southern California.

Beauty Bus Foundation delivers loving kindness, support, and compassion to seriously ill patients and their caregivers through beauty and grooming services.

Cedars-Sinai's Wellness, Resilience, and Survivorship Program, part of the Cedars-Sinai Cancer Patient and Family Support Program, maintains a mission of improving the physical, psychological, social and spiritual wellbeing of cancer patients and their families through providing educational services and activities. The trans-disciplinary team of exercise physiologists, neuropsychologists, art therapists, yoga instructors, dieticians and other professionals focuses on promoting wellness after a cancer diagnosis. With the goal of offering whole-person care and the belief that the way we think and live our lives can make meaningful differences in cancer survivorship, they have developed novel clinical and research programs to support cancer survivors.

Hope for Henry is reinventing how hospitals care for children and their families through innovative, scientifically tested programs that help hospitalized kids confront the challenges of serious illness, adhere to their medical plans, and thrive.

The Kevin Cordasco Foundation: Something Yellow is committed to raising awareness and funds to support childhood cancers and was inspired by Kevin Cordasco, a courageous young man who battled neuroblastoma for 7 years before he passed away at the age of 16.

WHY SUPPORT TEAM CONCERN?

Team Concern helps raise funds and bring awareness to support Concern Foundation's mission to Conquer Cancer Now through the promotion of an active, healthy lifestyle and participation in athletic events. In fifteen years, we have raised more than $1.5 million that have gone directly to cancer research, services for cancer patients and treatment programs in Los Angeles and around the world.
