In 2017 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was searching for info and resources and stumbled across Little Pink Houses. My family and I got to enjoy a retreat together and met 4 other wonderful families. Little Pink Houses has a great mission and I’m excited to be apart of the alumni and now starting to volunteer. I believe in Little Pink Houses Mission!
In 2020, I was diagnosed a second time with breast cancer. I was completely shocked, lost and afraid. After being diagnosed in 2013 and being told I was cured; I thought that journey was over.Feeling lost, lonely, and completely frightened about what was to come; I decided to apply for Little Pink Houses of Hope. I knew there were alot of applicants and thought the odds were not in my favor to be selected. Lo and behold; I was wrong! I was invited to a seven day retreat with my family to Key West. Little Pink Houses of Hope left no stone unturned as it pertains to accommodations, food, entertainment, activities, respite, and connection with other survivors who I came to love and grow a friendship with. The best part was my family was able to participate as well. I want to pay it forward. Every breast cancer survivor should have this opportunity and with your donation; you will help me reach my goal to make it happen for other survivors and their families.

As a breast cancer survivor, I know the importance of hope! When I learned about Little Pink and was able to experience the love and hope and support first hand, I was beyond amazed! I got a break from the overwhelming downer that cancer can be and provide a little normalcy and hope for myself and my children. I was also able to build my village by meeting other survivors I am still friends with today. My why? I want others to feel to hope!
I am a single mother battling cancer alone. I am feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. I am struggling for everything right now.
Fight for the best! I love going on adventure with my best friends! I love traveling the world any chance I get! If I have 1 more day, I'll do last adventure!
A cancer diagnosis turns your world upside down emotionally, physically and financially. I know first hand the feeling of being overwhelmed, or being angry, or having fear and/or worry. But not only did cancer effect me, it placed heartache on all my loved ones and friends, especially my children. Their smiles were broken. It wasn't until the spring of 2016 when their smiles resurfaced. My family was introduced to Little Pink Houses of Hope. LPHOH provided our family with an amazing week in Cape Hatteras with activities, free time, food and great conversations but more importantly the opportunity to relax, reconnect and rejuvenate within our family. It's now my turn to give back and love on families as LPHOH dis for our family. Since 2016, I have VolunStarred for multiple retreats. 2018-Orange Beach, AL 2019-Emerald Isle, NC 2022-Myrtle Beach, SC I also participated in HOPE Collection, collection of private donations for LPHOH and conduct intake calls and send birthday wishes to Little Pink families. About 1 in every 8 women will develop breast camcer over the course of her lifetime. With these statistics, I am certain that you know an acquaintance or a loved one that has been diagnosed with this awful disease. I know I can't help every women diagnosed however LPHOH and I strive to provide HOPE for breast cancer patients and their families.
Little Pink the 8 of us on a vacation in the middle of a time in our lives that nothing seemed to be working out. It was truly a chance to rest, connect and focus on each other. We still talk it fondly, it’s one of our family’s favorite memories!
