I’m a husband to my beautiful wife Tracy for the past 18 yrs and we have 5 wonderful children. I’m a Captain with Catoosa County Fire and have proudly been in the Fire service for over 16yrs. Music and food are big things in our family at home and at the firehouse. There’s always music playing in our house and usually at the same time we are cooking. So hopefully it helps me out when it’s time to dance. It’s an honor to be part of this fundraiser and competition.
David Moeller, a native of New York City, served in the United States Air Force for 8 years. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Valdosta State University with an emphasis in city and county management. After his military service, he moved to Ringgold, Georgia. David was a Court Administrator in Whitfield County Juvenile Court in the Conasauga Judicial Circuit. Currently, David is the CEO for the Northwest Georgia College and Career Academy and Director for Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) for Whitfield County Schools. David is also serving his third term representing district 4 as an elected school member for Catoosa County Public Schools. David lives in Catoosa County with his wife of 29 years, Jenny, who is also an Air Force veteran and currently a teacher in Catoosa County Schools. They have 1 son and 3 daughters. David is passionate about students being given every opportunity to succeed. Primary Healthcare has played a large role in the well-being of our Catoosa County students and families. A school-based clinic will be in the new Catoosa College and Career Academy. Healthcare students will have an opportunity to enroll in an apprenticeship exploring a healthcare career in a clinical environment. They have been great partners for our students. That is why I’m dancing.
Charlie and Frankie Whitmire are dear friends of mine. Last year, they invited me to attend a gala called “Dancing with the Stars of North Georgia, a fundraising event to benefiting Primary Healthcare Centers.PHC is a non-profit group of healthcare centers dedicated to improving healthcare for those in need. As I listened to the riveting stories of some of the patient families, my heart melted as I was reminded of my own mother’s journey of growing up poor in the Appalachia Mountains of North Carolina.I was hooked, and next thing I knew I was signed up as a participant to this year’s event! Oh My!Anyway, this is all in fun for a great cause in helping needy families get the healthcare we all deserve. I appreciate your support of this worthy cause.

Whitney Hood is the Assistant Principal at Tiger Creek Elementary School in Catoosa County. She was raised in Catoosa County and is a product of Catoosa County Public Schools. She graduated from Dalton State with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Specialist’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Valdosta State University. Whitney has served as an employee of Catoosa County Public Schools for the last 14 years where she has served as a teacher, head cheerleading coach, and 4 of those years an Assistant Principal. Whitney has been married to my husband Drew Hood for 13 years, and we have two little girls Kylie and Korie. Whitney has witnessed firsthand the positive effects that Primary Healthcare has had on the students of Catoosa and Walker County. Tiger Care is the Primary Healthcare location located on the campus of Tiger Creek Elementary School, and they go above and beyond to care for both staff and students alike. This year alone they organized a vision van to come, in which a little over 200 kids had vision screening, and about 30 students will receive a free pair of glasses. Events like this is what makes Primary Healthcare so special, because students' needs were met within the comfort of the school and minimal class time was missed. Also, this year they have provided hygiene packs for our students. This is why I’m dancing!
