Canine Kyra is a retired Firearms Detection Canine that served the Broward Sheriffs Office as a Firearms Detection Canine. Canine Kyra served the region as the only firearms detection in Broward county from 2016 to 2019 until the agency expanded. Kyra assisted with various detective bureaus in locating valuable firearm evidence to aid in the clearance of violent crime cases. SPONSORED BY: Landrey Born in July 2013, K9 Lady served as an Military Working Dog in the United States Air Force for almost six years. She was trained as a single purpose K9 in Explosive Detection, and worked at Fairchild Air Force Base, which is located about 12 miles from Spokane, Washington. During her time at work, she served on two United States Secret Service missions; one to San Diego and another to Japan. She also responded to three off-base bomb threats. K9 Lady, or "Lady Bug," as her handler, now owner, likes to call her, is a loving, goofy dog, who still acts like a puppy. She is full of energy, enjoys playing fetch, and is learning how to swim during her retirement! Working K9s perform a variety of occupations alongside their Handlers ensuring our public is safe from threats or danger, along with protecting our country domestically and abroad. They are typically classified as equipment with their medical needs NO longer funded once their service is completed. K9 Lady is sponsored by Landrey, a little girl with a big heart from Texas. Landrey loves all animals, especially police and military dogs. On Christmas morning, 2021, Landrey woke up and found a letter from Santa with a framed picture of K9 Lady! In the letter, Santa explained how important K9 Lady was and that he was trusting Landrey to take care of his friend. Landrey now sleeps with that picture next to her bed and has a stuffed German Shepherd named Lady.

Lee served in the United States Army serving as a Patrol Explosive Detector Dog Enhanced; stationed in New York and South Korea. During his 8 years of active duty, Lee deployed to Afghanistan to help support Operation Resolute Support and Operation Freedom Sentinel as well as traveled throughout the country and overseas to act as support for many secret service missions for POTUS, VPOTUS and other noteworthy individuals. Lee commonly stood out on base because of his fun personality and enjoys “rough pets” from everyone. RMWD Lili is a prior Military Working Dog who served 5 years as a patrol/explosive dog at Fairchild AFB, WA. Lobo aka Max is German Shepherd, born on March 2, 2015 in Germany. He weighs 75 lbs and worked with me his entire career. Lobo served the City of Casa Grande Police Department from November 2, 2017 until his official retirement date of March 14, 2021. Lobo was a dual purpose K9, meaning he can work patrol duties such as searching for suspects and weapons and identify and discover illegal narcotics. During Lobo’s career, he has been responsible for approximately 400 team arrests. Lobo was a great Narcotics dog and responsible for many narcotic seizures. Lobo was responsible for multiple apprehensions. On one occasion, Lobo located and apprehended a barricaded subject hiding in a residence. Lobo has located several firearms discarded by fleeing suspects, all in separate incidents. On another occasion, Lobo located a firearm that was discarded by a fleeing suspect who had pointed it at one of our own Police Officers during a traffic stop. SPONSORED BY: K9 Lycos joined the Galloway Township Police Department in September of 2011 and was partnered with K9 Officer Scott Winneberger. K9 Lycos was a patrol trained K9 and specialized in tracking, evidence search and criminal apprehension. K9 Lycos competed in regional competitions receiving many awards. K9 Lycos qualified for the 2013 National USPCA Police Dog Trials in Punta Gorda, Florida and although he did not win any awards at the National Trials, K9 Lycos had an outstanding performance. K9 Lycos had a very successful K9 career resulting in locating many missing persons and criminals. K9 Lycos once apprehended and subdued a criminal who attempted to use a sword against his handler protecting K9 Officer Winneberger from harm. K9 Lycos retired early in 2014 due to a medical issue and became a member of the Winneberger family. K9 Lycos enjoys retirement life and loves socializing with the neighborhood kids. K9 Lycos is the best house dog ever and in his older years enjoys his afternoon naps under the bushes in his yard. Mack is a dual purpose K9 certified in narcotics, patrol, tracking, and evidence recovery. Serving the community of Nebraska City, Mack has also deployed to assist outside agencies in two states and more that 12 departments. In his free time Mack loves to play catch with his toys. Mack is very loyal and protective of the family and enjoys the ability to get close for affection. Mack does not partake in treats and is very particular on his food. Mack is an expert when it comes to his narcotics searches. He is very detailed and while he may smell the odor from a distance, he prides himself on getting as close to the source as possible. This had resulted in many cases within the schools on backpacks. Mack also detained a suspect in a basement of a home after stealing a vehicle. Suspect advised he would have fought officers had it not been for the dog. Magic was brought to Delaware to serve with the Delaware State Police Canine Unit. He was assigned to his Handler Master Corporal Erik Foraker (Retired), where they served as a single purpose explosives team for 8 years. Together, they served the citizens of Kent County, Delaware, as well as working with the Amtrak Police Department, United States Air Force and other agencies within the State of Delaware. Throughout his career, Magic took part in numerous public safety demonstrations, and community events such as the NASCAR races at Dover Downs, and music events including Firefly. Magic moved out to the country with his family, and now enjoys running around farm fields, taking truck rides and laying on his bed next to a work bench in a shop.
